"CAMPAIGN"
POSTERS
The
following pieces, in all honesty, are just silly fun. I made them
for my own amusement, and the amusement of my friends. They were
thrown together (in some cases, mere minutes after a candidate's
entry into the ring) and do not reflect my most thorough work. But
I'm including this page because I think it's good for a laugh.

| I
made this in 2000, after imagining preferable "write-ins." |

|
| This
one is from 1/15/04, just after Wesley Clark announced he
was running in the Primaries.
I
had made one with Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold, but it was
a bit too obscure. |

On
1/20/04, as John Kerry locked up the Primaries and became
the presumptive candidate,
I
hammered this out.

This
one is from 7/7/04, welcoming John Edwards to the ticket.
I'm
still surprised at how natural this one looks.

| I
figured I owed the GOP equal time. This is my attempt to strike
a balance. I put this together on 8/2/04, to address the rumors
that Bush may get rid of Cheney to make his ticket more attractive.
But then, any veterinarian can tell you the tail can't fire
the head.
And
yeah, I know the name's spelled differently, just like my
"Carrie" poster. Hey, what can I say, I love homophones!
Yeah, I said it! Even if they amend the constitution, I will
continue to love homophones. |
